I have been reading blogs for quite a while, but had no idea creating a simple one was this easy. I am pleased with my 23 things experience so far, and have been able to do the assignments with no difficulty. On to number 3....

  1. Glad it's going well! You are now properly listed in the wiki, too.

  2. RSS and del.icio.us were new to me, but no problem to begin using. The videos were a good, concise way to explain their purpose and how to sign up. Making decisions about the content of each tool will be an interesting task.

  3. Hey Andy - you might want to take that last comment you wrote and create a blog post for it. I think your experience would be helpful for others to read and for those who subscribe to your blog (me! me!) I'm glad I happened on the comment to see how it's going for you and so glad it's going well! I'm eager to hear more about the content decisions you're talking about.

  4. I was able to create an account with NetLibrary (from work), choose and begin to read an interesting Ebook, choose and check out an Eaudiobook, and search for Evideos. I did not register with Yahoo Musicmatch Jukebox at home to download the audiobook. It took me more than an hour to read and experiment with the new account and formats, and I could have spent much longer. I do feel much more competent to assist patrons with questions now, and would also direct them to the help and FAQ sections as they were beginning to use NetLibrary. I didn't find any of this difficult, but did find it time-consuming. I think it is much easier to make requests for materials online, but patrons can't have things immediately that way. I much prefer movie theaters and comfortable chairs with books in hand....

  5. Hi Andy

Be sure to write your posts where it says 'create a new post' at the top once you're logged in. Give a call if you need some help 412-921-1123 - we want everyone who's subscribed to your blog to be able to read about your experiences! And when you write your posts in the comments, it doesn't get sent out to your subscribers.

Glad you're feeling competent in the downloadables area. I still have to do that week's exercises (I'm a bit behind!)
